Ink Colours: Red Bubble vs Zazzle

I'm back again to show you a comparasion of ink colours!

Today we are taking a close look at my design called Tea and Wisdom

On the Left we have the Cranberry Tee at Red Bubble, and the Right the Brown Tee at Zazzle.

Both are the same uploaded files. You can see the Zazzle one seems very "fluro" and just wrong all around, compared to what's on screen.

The Red Bubble print is a much nicer, softer, closer to the actual design.

Make the right choice: Buy it from Red Bubble here!

Wash & Wear: Red Bubble vs Zazzle

RedBubble

Zazzle

I have returned with a bit of an update which I think must be heard about the subject of my previous post.

Lets talk about Wash & Wear and the quality these prints have upheld.
First up, Red Bubble: This is the reprint of said design, and I tell ya I've washed it at least 15 times in warm, cold, and really it hasn't strayed from its original condition. I will say there is a little amount of wear of the print, but this could be from my seat belt in the car. As I said I have since changed this particular design so her kimono area is "cut out" and will reflect whatever the colour of the tee is, which will also produce a very nice quality print given them minimal colours. The detail has held up quite nicely, which has always impressed me with The Bub.

NOW, Zazzle... this has been washed only 2 times both times in cold water only, inside out and hung up to dry (on a coathanger) in the shade, and so on. As you can see it looks f*cked. Refresh your mind with how it used to look (post below) and now..... hideous! I have had this same trouble with (a gumball sushi tee) ONE wash (in warm) and Zazzle replaced my tee. I have since washed (in cold) this replacement once, and it did fade but not as bad. I'm expecting it to later.

Zazzle does NOT include any care instructions whatsoever with their tees, so I'm really finding hard to believe that for a design that's printed so fantastically initially, deteriorates so much without basically them being aware of this problem. Then thinking the "fix" is to throw another tee at someone, which will do the same thing - FADE

The Verdict - Buy Red Bubble tees!

Please note, these images have been scanned only. They have not been changed in anyway from the original image in regards to colour, etc..... only the size. The ripples in the tee are caused by pressure on top of it from the scanner, to achieve the best possible and true image.

I've dared to compare: Zazzle v Red Bubble

RedBubble

Zazzle

I'm daring to compare! Here I have bought both the same designs I have available on both Red Bubble and Zazzle - Osaka Nights 2: Music is Life.

First, RB...

I had to get a reprint from this, I was not pleased at all. The colours were not even, or thick. Very gritty and grainy. Yet the detail is very good, the thin lines of her hair come up very well, and sharp. The reprint was just acceptable.
I have since changed this design on RB, so the kimono will be whatever the colour of the tee is, in the hope of a better quality print.

Then, Zazzle...

First print. Granted this design is slightly bigger on the Zazzle tees. Zaz don't offer Red tshirts, only this Cardinal, which is nice enough. a RED red would be very nice.
The colours of this design are spot on, the print is thick, and is VERY clean. The fine lines aren't as good as the RB one, given its high quality. But I think i can forgive them.

Overall, I couldn't give a winner. RB offers the t-shirt colours I want, while Zazzle's print is so smooth and clean.

RB and Zazzle use the same printing process, so I can't really give any reasons, QUALITY CONTROL is the key term here. As it should be everywhere.

These images have been scanned, and not altered in any way, except for their size.

I can only be truthful.

Coffee Speaks Sales

Thought I would share that the sales of this tshirt White With One Please has jumped dramatically this month (which isn't even over yet!)

I did this over a year ago now, and it only started to sell recently. Its reminiscent of my TBO logo, but there are also a few more variations on this concept.

There are designs with things like, hearts, flags, planes, brass knuckles... even one of those plastic bread clips! All a concept which I love, but thought really wouldn't take off. Now it seems to be soaring! :)
